Comparative Stability Analysis of Boron Nitride Nanotube using MD Simulation and Nonlocal Elasticity Theory

Boron Nitride Nanotube (BNNT) is a promising nano sized structure with superior electrical, physical, and mechanical properties comparing to Carbon nanotube. Higher Young’s modulus, oxidation resistance, hardness, corrosion durability in high temperature, piezoelectric pyroelectric characteristics are some featured of BNNT. In this paper the critical buckling load investigated. Two different method used. First Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory employed obtain size-dependent loads. Then, LAMMPS software used simulate molecular dynamics Zigzag (5,5) BNNT 400 atoms examined into MD simulation analyzes.
